Training Opportunities at Infusion

SLEEPLESS

Sleepless is a technology-focused consultant training program occurring two to three times a year, which culminates in an action-packed weekend. Four teams of developers are assigned projects that must be completed within an intense 26 hour timeframe and presented to a judging panel of senior executives and mock clients. Providing participants an opportunity to build exciting proof-of-concept projects, the event enables employees to use the latest technologies in a high-paced team setting. Infusionites from each of our global offices apply to participate in Sleepless, and the chosen candidates are flown to the selected venue within the city of a different Infusion office. Each hand-picked team has the right mix of required skillsets, including a UX designer, programmers, and a team lead, and is assigned a unique client.

NEW HIRE BOOTCAMP

New Hire Bootcamps are arranged on a regular basis throughout the year. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet Infusion executives, learn more about the company history, culture, and overall business model. It is also a great venue to get to know other Infusionites. Bootcamp objectives are as follows:

• Introducing new hires to key players in the company.
• Helping new hires understand their roles and duties and how that fits in with the company business model.
• Meeting other new hires.
• Having fun!

LEARNING BY THE LAKE

An annual training opportunity held each summer, "Learning by the Lake" provides Infusion's small departments with a weekend getaway at a beautiful private cottage, to work on team building activities and work projects, and chat with senior executives. Prior to the event, each department creates their own work-based agendas for their stay, as well as team-building group activities with other departments such as Amazing Race and Lego building. The venue is a beautiful mansion-type cottage that comes fully equipped with a gym, pool table, poker table, movie theatre room, outdoor pool and patio, and much more! This event is the perfect setting for both work and fun, where employees can enjoy inclusive food and drinks.

NEW GRAD BOOTCAMP

This intense month long training session covers everything a recent graduate needs to know before rolling onto a project. It encompasses three weeks of lectures and labs on a variety of technologies. During the fourth week, bootcampers are placed into teams to build a project that is presented back to the company. This intense training session is not for the faint of heart – it will turn timid new grads into highly efficient software consultants who can take on any project!

TECHNICAL BOOTCAMP

The purpose of a Technical Bootcamp is to teach our existing employees a new technology. This type of training opportunity can run from one to three weeks depending on the type of technology. The bootcamps are available throughout the year on an as needed basis to teach our consultants a new or existing technology.

TEAM LEAD TRAINING

Infusion’s Team Lead Training is an intensive course that brings together current and future leaders from across the company. The program is structured to be highly interactive, with a focus on group breakout sessions, discussion, improvisation, and presentation.

Upon course completion, Team Lead Training graduates possess a solid foundation in:

• Project Management: keys to successful project planning and execution.
• People Management: growing and leveraging their team to its full potential.
• Best Practices: understanding and enforcing technical and non-technical standards.

FINSERV TRAINING

Bringing together consultants from every office working with financial services clients, FinServ Training gives these consultants the opportunity to learn more about the industry and the technologies needed to work for these world class clients.

HACK NIGHT

Open to all Infusionites, Infusion's New York, London, Krakow, and Dubai offices hold a monthly "H@¢k N1gh+" for learning and discussing new technologies and working together on innovating and interesting projects. H@¢kN1gh+ is an open format event, where attendees sit around and tinker with different technologies. Some of the interesting things that attendees have worked on in the past include a crossword puzzle solver for Android, and the software Glimpse. Attendees also contribute to general technical chatter on current events and tech news.

TECH NIGHTS AND LUNCH & LEARNS

Our signature "Tech Night" and "Lunch & Learn" programs provide a great team building experience coupled with an opportunity to share the latest industry knowledge. At Infusion, we know that continually learning and upgrading our skills is vital to our success; in addition, we know that communication and knowledge sharing among our employees is the most effective way to ensure our entire staff stays abreast of industry developments. In this way, as our employees learn new, practical, and vital information about the vast array of technologies available in today’s market. Our Tech Night and Lunch & Learn programs provide a forum where employees can share the latest knowledge and expertise with fellow co-workers.
